Default Beginning of the End for AoC?

Funcom cuts staff.

If it's true they cut their QA and CS, I don't see how they would be able to survive for very long.

The beginning of the end of AoC was release day, when they rushed the game and it was both totally shit and full of bugs.

Oh, and then they totally ignored the community on every aspect.

ANET, LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS.

And people said I was wrong when I told them AoC was going to flop after playing the beta.

AoC was just like Spore, overhyped and not good enough. They both created a very powerful launch, but after that people realised the games werent good enough.

However, spore, and also GW, dont have a problem like AoC as they have no fees. It really is time for western MMOs to become fee - less in order to be successful like GW and Maple Story.

You can all laugh at me for being over optimistic about the game, although the graphics and gameplay did rock, the rushed release, bugs, and lack of content were its downfall.

Im really not interested in playing any fee based game from now on, they all need to die out for the developers to realise that fees usually = failure.

I would still play it if it was free. It really would have made a much better single player RPG then an MMO.

Actually, after release it was good. Very good.

Then first people to reach level 21 noticed it's bad.

I pity my friend that bought the 3 month subscription.

Yea, I paid for 3 months too, and made a lvl 30 Tempest of Set and Assasin.

Then it got bad, very little left to do beyond Tortage. It was a very enjoyable game for the first 4-6 weeks, then it got bad.

I wish WoW would update their graphics

I bought three months for all of the MMO's I tried - WoW, AoC, and Lotro. I didnt feel like playing any of them for more then 2 months.

Faer, yeah when I was in beta I got bored at about level 20 or so. Once I left tortage I pretty much stopped testing because the game was too boring and repetitive.

Maybe Funcom should have made AoC a single player game and just focused on tortage...

If by fixing you mean deleting threads on their forums relating to those bugs, sure, they are fixing stuff.
